The start of 2024 was anything but peaceful for some Las Vegas residents. Early in the morning, around 8:40 a.m., a Tesla Cybertruck erupted in flames near the entrance of the Trump International Hotel on Fashion Show Drive, across from the iconic Fashion Show Mall.

The fire, which reportedly originated in or near the hotel's valet area, sent plumes of smoke into the air, causing a brief commotion for guests checking out and other passersby.

A witness staying at the nearby Resorts World described the scene: "It was shaking the glass it was so loud. I looked out and saw smoke everywhere. My wife and I immediately left the hotel."

The fire department quickly responded and extinguished the blaze, but the incident caused a temporary closure of Sammy Davis Junior Drive at Fashion Show Drive.

While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vehicle safety and the potential risks associated with electric vehicles.
